In the central Baltic Sea (North Europe), a regime shift associated with food-web reorganization and redirection of energy flow pathways took place in the 1980s. In this study, Baltic long-term dynamics from 1974 to 2006 were simulated using a food-web model forced by climate and fishing, and ecological network indices were then calculated to investigate the ecosystem change. The results describe detailed changes in ecosystem resilience and food web structure. – Tomczak et al. 2013
